Alex Mahony

After graduating from the University of Manchester in 2017 with a 1st class chemistry degree, I joined CLB Coopers (now Azets) and qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) in 2020. I joined Artorius as a finance manager in January 2026, after having spent over 8 years working in the audit and accounts department at Azets, progressing from an audit trainee to an audit manager. 

My previous role involved managing a portfolio of clients and delivering their statutory audit and accounts, for companies across various industries, including the financial services sector. Alongside the technical knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards, I have gained a strong understanding of how successful businesses operate, the risks involved and the importance of the controls that are in place. 

Away from work, I’ll either be having an Aperol spritz, walking the dog, going for a run or just spending time with friends and family!
