Hugo Pring

I have been looking after Private Clients and their savings for four decades.  I have always enjoyed the challenge of balancing real people’s plans and aspirations with their resources and over time, I am proud that many of my clients have become personal friends. 

Artorius share this commitment to personal and bespoke client relationships and was the key the reason why I was keen to join them in September 2025.

Graduating from Exeter University, I have worked for names as diverse as Touche Ross, HSBC, Border Asset Management and Gore Browne Investment Management.  I have also worked in the brewing/pub sector as a Non-Executive Director of WH Brakspear and Sons until its takeover in 2008 and thereafter until 2018, Foundation Inns Ltd.  I am also Chairman of the Brewery Arts Centre Endowment Trust, a charity which supports our local Arts Centre in Kendal.

Living in Cumbria with my wife, we have two grown-up children who both work in the City (despite my advice to do something else altogether!) and a Labrador.  I spend my leisure time playing golf, building model cars and aeroplanes and watching motor-racing, rugby and cricket
